What’s Changed?
Right away, you'll be greeted by our refreshed logo and vibrant new artwork—a fresh face for Waken that reflects our evolving brand. Alongside this visual update, you’ll find a newly introduced serving cap on every bottle, made to enhance your daily routine. This improvement, inspired by feedback from customers like you, aims to make every use as convenient and enjoyable as possible for all the family.
The bottles continue to be made from 100% recycled HDPE plastic, known for its durability and widespread recyclability—just like milk bottles. The shift to an all-white design not only aligns with broader recycling streams but also celebrates the unique character of recycled materials, with each bottle's shade of white telling a story of sustainability.
Our labels also embrace this ethos, made from recycled HDPE to ensure they can journey through the recycling process alongside the bottles.
While the new caps are made from polypropylene (PP), a resilient and recyclable material, we are actively exploring options to transition to recycled or plant-based materials. Your support fuels our research and efforts, and we promise to keep you informed on our progress.
Our Evolution:
Reflecting on Our Journey Since launching with aluminium bottles in 2019, we’ve been on a path to make thoughtful choices about the sustainability and functionality of our packaging.
The transition from aluminium to plastic in 2020 was driven by the need to address the complicated challenges around durability, recyclability and genuine sustainability, despite the initial appeal of aluminium. Leaking and dented bottles meant that many thousands of bottles were being discarded and weren’t making it through the supply chain. We also couldn’t incorporate recycled materials with our manufacturer, which significantly increased their carbon footprint. Like all decisions in this area, there are pros and cons to the choices we make.
Today, the introduction of our all-white HDPE bottles, adorned with our new logo and design, marks a significant step in our journey. Your continued feedback and support are invaluable to us as we strive to improve and evolve.
We’re eager to hear your thoughts on our new design and any suggestions you might have. Together, we can make a difference, one bottle at a time.
