We started Waken in 2019 with some simple questions:

• Why is mouthwash liquid blue?
• Why does it burn when I use it?
• Why does toothpaste foam so much?

It made no sense. And the more we dug into it, the more we learned that there are a whole bunch of things the oral care industry does just because it always has.

Our founders, Simon Duffy and Rhodri Ferrier, brought their experience from creating innovative packaging and unique formulations for Bulldog Skincare to the oral care industry. This inspired them to take a fresh approach and rethink the way oral care products are designed and formulated.
