The story

Good to know.

Chamomile and calendula.

A gentle formula with natural extracts of chamomile and calendula, for a mild toothpaste.

Low foam on purpose.

Foam is not what cleans your teeth; brushing is. Ours leaves out SLS, a foaming detergent, for a light foam that gets on with the job. Natural spearmint, no artificial colours or dyes.

The tube.

At least 30% recycled plastic across the tube and cap.

Rylan's Top Tips

Here’s how to brush properly, the Waken way:

  • Brush twice a day, ideally in the morning and before bed
  • Use a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste
  • Brush for two minutes each time, covering every surface – front, back and biting edges
  • Use small, circular motions with a soft-bristled brush to be gentle on your gums
  • Spit, don’t rinse – rinsing your mouth straight after brushing washes away the fluoride, which means it can’t get to work strengthening your teeth

Brushing isn’t just about freshening breath. It’s about clearing away plaque and food particles so your mouth stays healthy and protected all day long.

Questions, answered.

Are your toothpastes suitable for vegans?

Yes. This toothpaste is approved as vegan by the Vegetarian Society.

Do your toothpastes contain fluoride?

Yes, all our toothpastes contain fluoride at the NHS recommended levels. This toothpaste contains fluoride at 1,450 ppm F.

How do I use your toothpaste?

Wet your toothbrush and shake off any excess water. Squeeze a small amout of toothpaste onto the bristles of your toothbrush. A pea-sized amount is usually enough for most adults. Brush the tops, sides and backs of all your teeth, making sure to reach every surface. This should take about 2 minutes. Remember to spit out the toothpaste when you have finished.

Do your toothpastes contain SLS?

This toothpaste is SLS-free, with a light foam.

How do I recycle my toothpaste tube?

Squeeze out as much toothpaste as you can. Check your local council’s guidance for plastic toothpaste tubes, including whether to leave the cap on.
